Nothing About Us Without Us: Commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD) 2024

Garowe, Somalia – December 3, 2024 – Over 120 leaders, activists, and artists gathered at Dream Point Hotel to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), celebrating the talents and rights of persons with disabilities (PWDs) under the theme: “Amplifying the Leadership of Persons with Disabilities for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future.”

Organized by Puntland Disability Organizations Network (PDON) with the strategic partnership with Save the Children International (TOFI Framework), and the United Nations Transition Mission in Somalia (UNTMIS). The event showcased performances, exhibitions, and advocacy efforts to drive inclusion.
